Two modern vehicles donated to the sections of the exceptional Telenești and Călărași by the European partners in Austria and Switzerland
Today, October 10, 2025, the sections of the exceptional Telenești and Călărași situations within the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were equipped with two modern special vehicles, offered by the European partners from Austria and Switzerland.
The special vehicle for the Section of Exceptional Telenesti was donated by the Austrian organization "Structure Project Network", as part of the long -term collaboration between Voluntary Firefighters in Austria and IGSU. The intervention vehicle, the model "Steyr", has a 2,000 -liter tanker, is equipped with medium pressure pump and has 4x4 whole traction, being prepared to intervene effectively in the fire extinguishing missions.
It should be mentioned that, starting with 2013, based on the collaboration program between the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations and the Voluntary Firefighters in Austria, over 80 vehicles have been brought to the Republic of Moldova. They are used daily in intervention and rescue missions, both by IGSU subdivisions and volunteer rescuers and firefighters from all over the country.
The intervention vehicle for Calarasi district was donated by partners in Switzerland, Rotary Club Einsiedeln. The teaching ceremony took place at the District Council, after the vehicle was included in the battle servant of the Exceptional Situations Section Calarasi. The special vehicle, a model "Mercedes 1222", has a capacity of the tank of 2,200 liters and is equipped with pumps and auxiliary intervention equipment.
The intervention vehicles, fully equipped according to the needs of the emergency services, will be used by the IGSU number of the Telenești and Călărași districts, contributing to the increase of the operative intervention capacity in cases of fires and other risk situations, as well as to the increase of the safety level of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova.
Through the support granted to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations within the long -term international partnerships, the institution strengthens its intervention infrastructure, which contributes to a more efficient response in managing and liquidating the consequences of exceptional situations, especially in rural areas.
