Rescuers from Căuşeni district intervened to help a man who fell into a pit
The IGSU rescuers were requested to intervene to provide help to a man who fell into a pit in the Marianca de Sus locality, Căușeni district. The case was registered at Service 112 in the evening of October 31, at 20:57.
According to the information, the 68-year-old man, blind, would have left the house moving in an unknown direction. His disappearance was reported by his wife, who requested the intervention of specialized teams. Following the search actions carried out by the employees of the Căușeni Police Inspectorate, the man was found conscious in a pit near the household.
A crew of rescuers and firefighters from the Căuşeni Regional Emergency Situations Directorate of the IGSU was sent to the scene, which undertook actions to extract the person safely. As a result of the incident, the victim suffered a fracture in his lower limbs. Later, the man was handed over to the medical team and transported to the district hospital for intensive medical care.
According to statistical data, since the beginning of 2025, employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations have saved 25 people from various risky and exceptional situations.
