Non-compliance with the rules for using the stove caused an explosion in a household in Florești district

on the morning of November 18, 2025, at 06:25, the 112 Service was alerted to the occurrence of an explosion in a house in the city of Mărculești, Florești district, located on Ștefan cel Mare street, no. 40.

Employees of the Florești Rescue and Firefighters Unit intervened on the scene, and determined that, following the explosion, the summer kitchen and an adjacent wall of the home were destroyed. The fire did not occur. No casualties were reported.

According to the preliminary investigations carried out by the competent services, the deflagration would have been caused by the leakage of gas from the stove connected to a propane-butane cylinder, located in the summer kitchen.

Citizens are urged to periodically check installations connected to natural gas and to avoid using gas cylinders in homes.

People are asked not to leave the stove unattended during operation. It should be unplugged when not in use.

Installation and maintenance of gas equipment must be carried out only by authorized specialists.
