Meteorological warning: long -lasting rains (yellow code)
According to the data of the state hydrometeorological service, between 07-08 October 2025, long-term rains will be recorded throughout the country, with water accumulations of 15–49 l/m², isolated 50-90 l/m².
in this context, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations urges citizens to show caution and responsibility, respecting the following safety measures:
• In case of heavy rainfall, shelter in a building or vehicle located away from electric wires and trees that can fall.
• Avoid leaving unattended children near flood -risk areas.
• Do not cross the street in front or back of stationed vehicles to avoid accidents:
• Do not park the vehicles under the trees or near the electricity pillars.
• If you are in your home, close the windows and doors to prevent water from entering and disconnect the electrical appliances.
• Avoid moving through flooded areas, even if the water seems shallow.
• Drivers are asked to reduce speed, keep the safety distance between vehicles and avoid sudden braking.
• Aquatic basin management are urged to check the condition of dams and water exhaust systems and monitor them periodically during abundant rains, to prevent spill.
• People living in slope areas are asked to avoid places of landslide, not to park near water or tilted trees and not approach these areas during rain.
in case of emergency situations, people are asked to immediately call service 112.
The IGSU teams monitor the situation throughout the country 24/24, and in case of necessity they are ready to intervene to liquidate the exceptional situations.
