A man was saved by rescuers after falling into a water fountain in the Hîncești district

A 75-year-old man was saved by IGSU employees, after falling into a rainwater accumulation of a household in Caracui, Hîncești district.

The incident took place on the afternoon of September 24, 2025, and the call to the 112 Service was received at 18:24. According to the first information, the man was carrying out works near the basin, and at one point it was no longer observed by the neighbors, who immediately alerted the emergency services.

A crew of rescuers and firefighters was sent to the scene. Arriving at the destination, they established that the man was at a depth of about 3 meters. The intervention was prompt, in less than 5 minutes, the person was safe on the surface.

The man was aware and did not suffer any trauma, and for further investigations he was taken over by the Emergency Medical Assistance Service.

All circumstances of the incident occurring will be established.

According to IGSU data, since the beginning of 2025, rescuers intervened in 10 cases of extracting people fallen into wells.
