IGSU of the MAI signed the partnership agreement with the "Patrol Chaplain" Association

Today, October 30, 2025, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, represented by the head of the institution, colonel of the internal service Aurel Baciu, signed the partnership agreement with the Public Association "Patrol Chaplain", represented by Mr. Dumitru Apostol.
The agreement provides for the strengthening of the moral, spiritual and emotional support given to the employees of the institution and the people affected by emergency situations.
The partnership is based on mutual respect, professionalism and fundamental human values ​​and aims to develop joint initiatives dedicated to firefighters, rescuers and their families. The aim of the bilateral cooperation is to strengthen the emotional balance of those who intervene daily for the safety of citizens, providing support in managing stress, emotional pressure and professional challenges.
Cooperation activities within the partnership will be focused on spiritual counseling and moral support, specialized trainings and personal development sessions, as well as the initiation of team building and thematic camps.
The Public Association "Patrol Chaplain" is part of the international network of the United States Community Chaplains Association (USCA) - an organization that promotes professional standards in chaplain activity, the continuous training of specialists and the fundamental values ​​of dignity, inclusion, equity and faith. Internationally, USCA collaborates with law enforcement institutions, medical services, fire units and emergency response structures, providing spiritual assistance and emotional support in difficult contexts.
Through this partnership, IGSU will designate persons responsible for coordinating joint activities, and the "Patrol Chaplain" Association will provide spiritual and emotional assistance to employees and victims in crisis situations.
The collaboration between IGSU and the "Patrol Chaplain" Association will contribute to the creation of a more balanced, safer and more productive work environment, offering real psychological assistance to those who, on a daily basis, intervene in risky situations to save human lives.
