The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations continues to strengthen bilateral cooperation with the Republic of Poland in the field of training and developing the intervention capacities of rescuers and firefighters.

in this regard, today, November 4, 2025, IGSU received a modern car-type simulator, intended for the practical training of rescuers and firefighters in extinguishing fires and rescuing people from means of transport, including electric ones.
The event took place in the premises of the Republican Training Center of the IGSU in the town of Răzeni, where the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Mr. Victor Grosu, the Ambassador of Poland to the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Tomasz Kobzdej, the representative of the Warsaw Fire Academy, Mr. Marcin Łapicz, as well as the management of the IGSU, represented by Colonel Aurel Baciu, participated.
the head of the IGSU, Colonel Aurel Baciu, mentioned that this modern equipment represents an unprecedented achievement, contributing to the practical training of the force, increasing the efficiency of interventions and, implicitly, saving a greater number of human lives. The official thanked the partners for the excellent collaboration, openness and professionalism with which they support the development of the civil protection system and the management of emergency situations in our country.
The new equipment, worth over 1 million lei, was offered as part of the Moldovan-Polish Development Assistance project "Support for the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations of the MAI of the Republic of Moldova - Stage III (module 2)" and will contribute to improving and strengthening the training of firefighters and rescuers for effective interventions in the event of car accidents and other exceptional situations.
The Moldovan firefighters also had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the didactic tools used in the Fire Academy in Poland, which facilitated the exchange of experience and the presentation of directions for the development of specialized training in the Republic of Moldova.
We note that the project has been running since 2022, and so far numerous activities have been organized in which IGSU has benefited from training, experience exchanges and modern equipment intended to train firefighters and rescuers at the highest European standards.
in 2022, IGSU was equipped with a container-type multifunctional complex for intervention and rescue in risk situations, worth over 3.6 million lei. In the following two years, the Inspectorate benefited from equipment for trainers and specialized equipment, including medical equipment, worth over 2.2 million lei, for the preparation and training of first aid medical skills and intervention following road accidents.
in the next three days, 20 firefighters and rescuers will participate in the necessary training for the correct use of the simulator and will pass on the acquired skills to their colleagues.
The main goal of the project is to develop national and regional crisis management systems and increase operational capacities, especially in the field of prevention and intervention in natural and man-made disasters. At the same time, the project contributes to the modernization and completion of training modules within the Republican Training Center of IGSU.
The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations has constantly benefited from the support of the Republic of Poland through various projects, and the support provided has contributed to raising the professional level and the ability to respond in carrying out life-saving missions.
