The rescuers from the north of the country managed to prevent an explosion of proportions
on the night of November 4, 2025, at 01:28, IGSU employees from the north of the country were requested to intervene to extinguish a fire that broke out in a house in the village of Bîrnova, Ocnița district.
Three fire teams were dispatched to the scene. Arriving at the scene, the firefighters determined that the fire involved a house with a total area of approximately 320 m², with five rooms and a room of approximately 200 m², previously used as a warehouse.
during the intervention, IGSU rescuers managed to evacuate two cylinders of propane-butane gas from inside the home affected by the fire, thus preventing the occurrence of a large-scale explosion. According to preliminary data, another cylinder detonated before the intervention of the emergency services teams. No casualties were reported.
