IGSU intervention in a residential block in the municipality of Balti
Firefighters evacuated 20 people, including 5 children, from a residential block following the fire that broke out in an apartment. The call to Service 112 was received at 02:42.
According to the information, a fire broke out this night in an apartment in an apartment block in the municipality of Bălți on 114 Bulgăra street. Three teams of rescuers and firefighters were sent to the destination to extinguish the fire. At the scene, IGSU employees found that the flames engulfed a one-room apartment located on the fifth floor of the building. In order to prevent the tenants from being poisoned by the combustion products, the rescuers safely evacuated 20 people, including 5 children, from the neighboring apartments. The owner of the affected apartment, being in a state of shock, jumped from the window to protect himself from the fire, but as a result of the action he received trauma. As a result of the fire, the owner suffered II-III degree burns on about 50% of his body surface and traumatic shock. The victim received qualified help on the spot and was transported by the Emergency Medical Assistance Service to the Balti Municipal Hospital for medical care. The fire was completely extinguished at 04:57, and the material goods inside the house were completely destroyed.
