IGSU intervened following an explosion in the city of Florești

in the morning of October 25, 2025, an explosion occurred in an apartment located on Mihai Viteazul street no. 70 from the city of Florești. The call to Service 112 was received at 09:32.
According to the first information, two people suffered injuries. The owner of the apartment, a 68-year-old man, who suffered burns in the head region, and a 17-year-old girl from the neighboring apartment, who suffered a concussion. Both people are in stable condition and were taken for medical care at the district hospital.
The IGSU teams evacuated 51 people from inside the block, including 11 children. According to the first assessments, the deflagration damaged the walls and windows of the apartment, as well as the windows of the apartments on the 2nd and partially the 3rd floors.
To manage the situation, the General Staff of the IGSU was established on the spot. At the same time, the Commission for Exceptional Situations of the Florești district is to decide where the tenants of the block can be accommodated during the evaluation and whether the construction structure does not pose a danger to people.
The circumstances of the case are being determined.
