IGSU brings gratitude and appreciation to two retired officers
Two officers of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations went into reserve, marking the end of a professional step in the great family of rescuers and firefighters.
The solemn tribute ceremony took place on December 4, 2025, within the Inspectorate, where management and colleagues expressed gratitude and appreciation for the professionalism and courage shown over the years of activity.
After several years of hard work and sacrifice, the two officers, colonel of the internal service Rubina Bubuioc and colonel of the internal service Sergiu Junea have completed their period of activity, leaving behind a career worthy of appreciation.
Through their professionalism and dedication, they have become role models for their colleagues and true sources of inspiration for younger generations of rescuers.
at the time of the transfer to the reserve, Mrs. Rubina Bubuioc held the position of Head of the General Direction of Strategic Planning and Mobilization Reserves, and Mr. Sergiu Junea was Deputy Head of the same direction.
within the General Staff, they contributed essentially to the planning, coordination and management of exceptional situations, ensuring the proper functioning of internal mechanisms and effectively supporting operational missions. At the same time, they had an important role in the field of civil protection at the national level, participating in the development of strategies, guidelines and intervention procedures in exceptional situations.
Mrs. Rubina Bubuioc's career in the service of rescuers and firefighters began in 1997 and over the course of 28 years, she held various positions within the civil protection service and exceptional situations, demonstrating outstanding professionalism and skills. For her merits and dedication she was decorated with multiple distinctions, including:
MAI badge "For Impeccable Service", grades III, II and I;
"For Merit" Cross, II and I classes;
IGSU badge "Eminent Savior";
IGSU Medal "For Impeccable Activity;
MAI Commemorative Medal "30 years of MAI".
For his part, Mr. Sergiu Junea demonstrated a firm commitment to the noble work of rescuers and firefighters for 27 years, also holding various positions, and standing out as an exceptional specialist in the chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear fields. For his courage and devotion he was awarded the following decorations:

MAI badge "For Impeccable Service", grades III, II and I;
MAI "Cross for Merit" class II distinction;
IGSU badge " Eminent Savior”;
MAI Commemorative Medal "30 years of MAI";

during the ceremony, the management of IGSU conveyed their warmest thanks for all their activity, selflessness and constant dedication, emphasizing that their active involvement had an essential role both in saving and protecting human lives, and in strengthening the performance of the institution.
Also, for their part, the colleagues sent them warm congratulatory messages and wishes for success for the new stage of life, noting that their contribution will always remain in the memory and appreciation of the entire team, as a benchmark of professionalism.
