Firefighters from Ungheni were closer to people during the "Open Doors Day"
On November 28, 2025, the Directorate of Exceptional Situations, Ungheni municipality, opened its doors wide for all those wishing to discover the world of rescuers, organizing the traditional "Open Doors Day".
During the entire day, the firemen's court was animated by the voices and curiosity of children from 9 educational institutions. In total, 260 students and 21 teachers participated in the activities prepared by IGSU employees.
The firefighters presented the intervention technique, equipment and protective equipment to the visitors, explaining how they are used in real missions. At the same time, the rescuers organized interactive sessions in which they talked about the rules of behavior in risky situations and answered the children's questions, in an accessible and friendly language.
The event also offered the opportunity to promote the profession of rescuer and firefighter. The students were able to climb into the special vehicles, wear the protective helmet and watch closely how the IGSU teams prepare for interventions.
The most awaited moment of the day was the firefighting demonstration exercise. Firefighters simulated a real intervention, showing how to act quickly and coordinated to extinguish the flames and protect people's lives.
Through this activity, IGSU employees aimed to bring citizens closer to the mission of firefighters and rescuers, highlight their professionalism and dedication, and promote safety rules among the population.
