Firefighters in the north of the country prevented an explosion by evacuating four gas cylinders from inside a home

on the night of November 23, 2025, at 11:11 p. m., firefighters from the north of the country were alerted to a fire in a house in Cernoleuca, Dondușeni district.

According to the recorded information, the flames completely engulfed a house with one level and an annex. To extinguish the fire, two teams of firefighters and rescuers intervened on the scene.

Thanks to the prompt intervention, the rescuers managed to safely evacuate four liquefied gas cylinders from inside the home, thus preventing a possible explosion. The fire completely destroyed the house with an area of ​​72 m² and an annex of 24 m².

The fire was located at 00:23 and completely extinguished at 01:55.

during the extinguishing of the fire, the owner of the household, a 71-year-old man, suffered a burn on the palm of his hand, but he refused medical attention.

The cause and circumstances of the fire are to be established by specialists.
