Firefighters' intervention on the liquidation of a fire broke out in a lighter production warehouse in Causeni district

on the morning of October 14, 2025 IGSU firefighters were asked to intervene in the liquidation of a fire that broke out in a warehouse in Zaim, Causeni district. The call to service 112 was received at 06:49.

According to preliminary information, the flames included the machine used to produce the briquettes. Four crews of rescuers and firefighters were directed to the scene. Arriving, they have established that woody sawdust burns, but also a technique of manufacturing fire briquettes.

Due to the prompt intervention, the firefighters managed to evacuate a car, a trailer and a motorcycle from within the construction.

The fire was located at 07:49 and completely liquidated at 08:36. Following the burning, several briquette production was destroyed inside a room, about 20% of the raw material stored in another space and about 20% of the roof of the warehouse with a total area of ​​150 square meters.

Victims have not been reported. The cause and circumstances of the fire occur will be established later.

According to operational data, in the last 24 hours, rescuers and firefighters have intervened in 31 risk situations.
