Twelve rescuers from Balti have become paramedics of the Mobile Resuscitation and Unloading Service (SMURD).
The program included theoretical and practical lessons in the field of granting the first qualified aid. The participants were trained by specialized trainers on the essential methods of intervention in emergency medical situations, including resuscitation maneuvers, trauma management, cardiac arrest and other critical states. The rescuers were prepared for the immobilization of the fractures, the control of the bleeding and the application of the dressings, as well as for the intervention in case of disaster and the first aid during the discharge missions. On training, rescuers have learned how to intervene in cases of cardiac arrest, burns, fractures, poisoning, polytrauma, anaphylactic shock, hypo- and hyperglycemia, as well as in electric shock or falls.
On October 14, 2025, the 12 IGSU rescuers successfully passed the final exam before the evaluation commission. The ceremony of the certificates was held at the headquarters of the Directorate of Search-Salva no. 2, in the presence of the IGSU management. The head of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, Colonel Aurel Baciu, stressed the importance of extending the medical intervention capacities within SMURD crews and the role of defenders-paramedic in ensuring a prompt and efficient reaction in emergency, which can save life by providing qualified medical aid.
The certifications obtained confirm the training and skills acquired by rescuers in providing first aid in exceptional situations. It takes a significant step in increasing the intervention capabilities of IGSU employees in emergency situations.
