100 children were trained in the Forest School 2025 generic activity
Recently, on October 25, 2025, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations of the MAI, in partnership with the international Co-Resilience project, organized the thematic activity "Forest School 2025", dedicated to civic education and practical training in the field of environmental protection and climate risk prevention. The event took place in the premises of the Republican Training Center of the IGSU in Răzeni township, Ialoveni district.
The activity brought together about 100 students between the ages of 13 and 16 from different localities of the country, who participated in thematic training, practical exercises and intervention demonstrations. Young people had the opportunity to interact directly with IGSU employees, discover modern intervention equipment and learn essential rules regarding correct behavior in nature and forest fire prevention.
in this context, by organizing the "Forestry School 2025", IGSU rescuers together with partners aimed to strengthen their intervention training, but also to promote safety, care for nature and the active involvement of young people in protecting the environment. Hands-on activities and interactive lessons helped participants better understand how they can prevent emergencies and contribute to a safer and cleaner environment.
The event is part of the joint activities organized within the international Co-Resilience project, alongside other training sessions, such as the one in Istanbul, held during October 2025. Through these actions, the aim is to strengthen the preparedness and resilience of the communities in the Black Sea region.
Through this initiative, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations reaffirms its commitment to continuous training, effective prevention and the active involvement of the young generation in protecting the environment and managing emergency situations. Thus, the "Forestry School 2025" represents a concrete example of applied education, inter-institutional cooperation and preventive action in the context of increasingly accentuated climate risks.
