In order to raise awareness among the younger generation about risks, develop knowledge in life safety and inform about preventive measures, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been organising annually since 2007, together with the Ministry of Education and Research, the Children’s Creative Contest “Preventing Risk Situations Through Children’s Eyes”.

The award ceremony for the winners took place on 14 February 2025 at the Republican Training Centre of IGSU in Răzeni village, Ialoveni district.

The contest involved 645 educational institutions from all districts of the country and approximately 1,700 children divided into three age categories. A total of 560 works (drawings, models and appliqués) were submitted to the national stage.

1st Place Winners

• Category I (up to 4th grade) – Tristan Lungu, “Ștefan cel Mare” Theoretical Lyceum, Chișinău
• Category II (5th–9th grade) – Beatricia Iacubencu, Ungheni municipality
• Category III (10th–12th grade) – Ana-Roza Belciug, “I. Creangă” Theoretical Lyceum, Bălți

At national level, 30 drawings, 8 models and 4 appliqués were awarded.
